Review: Sleek face contour kit and blush

Another review here, this time of the Sleek face contour kit and blush.

I had seen the contour kit in half a dozen youTube hauls getting great feedback so I thought I would give it a go. When I went to Superdrug I could only find the kit with the blush but as I was on my typical payday hype I decided to buy this 3-piece kit, in the colour 'light', as it's still a bargain at £9.99.

(Also I'd just like to add a quick disclaimer apologising for taking the photos on my bathroom window sill but as of yet I have nowhere set up to take photos fit for a blog!!)

Firstly, I absolutely love the packaging for this product. It's thin, matte black case with indented glossy writing really beats the old packaging and lives up to its name. Inside there is a large mirror which is fab for touching up make-up whilst you're on the move.

The contour - This is a really pigmented colour, so a little bit really goes a long way. I just dab my Ruby & Millie contour brush in once and find this is enough to accentuate my cheekbones whilst still maintaining a natural look. However if you want a more prominent look this product will also do you justice if you add more of it to your brush. The colour is not at all orange and is matte, so it really creates the look of a shadow and doesn't look cheap the way an orange bronzer can. Also it's so easy to blend you can apply it to your temples or any other areas where you'd like to add warmth/dimension. One thing I will say is because I am quite pale I sometimes feel like this can make me look a little dirty, which is why I don't like to over apply it.

The highlighter - This is perfect for a day time highlighter. It has a slight shimmer to it but not enough to make you look like a disco ball. I just trace a few strokes down the centre of my nose, above my cheekbones and just below my eyebrows to give a bit of glow to my face, which really helps me as I use a matte foundation. I apply this with a real techniques expert face brush however I'd like to invest in a more fluffy brush to use with the highlighter. At night for going out I'd chose a liquid highlighter over this, simply because I find it looks better in photos:)

The blush - I am in love with this blush. It's a corally-pink colour with a very slight gold shimmer, giving an amazing healthy glow! Again it's surprisingly well pigmented for such a cheap product, and I apply it with a Body Shop face & body brush.

I hope reading this post has helped you decide on whether or not you want to purchase this kit, I definitely recommend it and will be buying it again when I run out in the far off future :)
