What I wore this weekend

This weekend I helped run a a charity 'Strictly party'. Six professional dancers teamed up with six people who had never danced, and had a day to teach them a waltz or cha cha routine, which they performed on the evening. The money raised went towards Teenage Cancer Trust and a lovely local girl called Millie who sadly has a brain tumour. Despite the emotional start of hearing Millie's story, the night was really good. The guests were all family and friends of Millie or the organisers, so I wanted to wear something nice and classy, but that wouldn't get in the way whilst baking 180 jacket potatoes and baked beans.

I chose this dress from River Island which I'd bought a few days before. It comes about an inch above the knee and is quite smock-y in style with a dropped waist, making it really easy to wear. It would also be great for family occasions over Christmas and definitely suitable for your Christmas day food baby.

And what the best thing about this dress? Its red and white (and black I know) so you have absolutely no excuse whatsoever as to why you're not wearing a Santa hat! Here's a cheeky photo of me wearing the dress on my instagram also.

On a more serious note, what teenage cancer trust have done and continue to do for Millie and other 13-24 year olds is exceptional. They have units in 27 hospitals around the UK where rooms look more like hotel rooms than hospital rooms. Here children can play or chill out together, and not worry about being any different than their peers. In order to extend these lovely, but small units, TCT relies on donations, so if you can give any money please do by going on this link

Thank you lots and lots like jelly tots (and vodka shots)
