Baby Skin Primer - First Impressions

In the Shop
This first caught my eye in Boots because its the same colour scheme as my bedroom and bathroom (10 points to Maybelline) and the price tag was a nice £7.99 with an added buy one get one free deal, so I decided to get one for me and my mum. I was also interested in this as previously I haven't had a primer whose main selling point is reducing pores so I wanted to give one a go and see if it makes any difference.

First Application
I was please to see this is a silicone based primer, however its a thicker formula than my previous ones meaning it took a little bit longer to apply and isn't one for using when you were supposed to have left the house five minutes before. After application skin straight away looked a lot more even with reduced pores and a more matte, even skin tone, so I think it would be a great choice for summer when braving the no foundation look. Looking at my makeup now (it's 11pm and the product was applied at 8am) my foundation is still nicely put, although I did touch up with powder around midday.

Would I repurchase?
This depends on how my funds are looking by the time this runs out. I am really happy with it but would always return to my Smashbox photo finish primer if possible as I much prefer its slightly less thinner, but still silicone based, consistency.
