A little homeware and handbag haul

Retail parks are my new favourite things.

This week I've spend two days at retail parks; firstly taking on Toys'r'us with my boyfriend because we're big kids and why the hell not? Then the rest of those two days were spent acting our own age a litttttle bit more and visiting stores such as Home Sense, TK Maxx, B&M bargains and our no.1 favourite, IKEA.

Some boring things I bought and haven't photographed but nevertheless should still include, were a pink camping chair and a collapsable 'water' bottle (£4.99 and £1 respectively) from B&M as we are going to V festival in just over a month eeek! In TK Maxx I also bought a big water bottle as I recently joined a gym so needed one to take with me, and my boyfriend bought some gym clothes.

From IKEA I bought two of the infamous flower pots/candle holders (£2 each) that every man and his dog uses for makeup brush storage, although when I got home it turned out I only needed one so I was able to give the other to my mum which was good because she was super jealous when she saw how cute they are.

My favourite spend of the day was this laptop table which I promise you is a complete game changer. From writing laboratory reports for uni to watching reruns of gossip girl I spend a lot of time snuggled in my bed with my laptop on my knee, which does nothing for your posture or 2nd degree burns laptops give you when they overheat, so a raised platform for my laptop to place my laptop on whilst in bed was perfect for me. FYI this is also really good if you put it at the end of your bed whilst watching a movie as you can get as snuggled into your duvet as you want without it obstructing the view of your laptop or knocking it off the bed.

I've always kept my pennies in an old money box from back when I was 7 but this jar from B&M bargains was so cute and only £2.99 so I couldn't say no. Plus I've always wanted a Save'n'smash so I figured I may as well get one to tick it off the list!

Now I know a hangbag isn't homeware, but I just HAD to share this with you. Its not often I splurge but I hadn't (until this week was over) treated myself in a while so I felt achieving a 2:1 in my first year of uni whilst being successful in getting two jobs all over the week prior meant when I went to Bicester Village on Monday with my friends and fell in love with this bag I should award myself! It wasn't completely on a whim, I had been saying for a while that I wanted a light coloured bag as I only have two other bags (I'm not much of a bag person) which are both black which just doesn't look right with some summer outfits, and the retail price for the bag was £330 but the outlet price was £189 so it would be rude to say no, right?

  5. YOUR KATE SPADE BAG!!!! WOW. I actually just went to an "outlet" retail park two weeks ago and almost bought a very similar bag. I ended up not getting one because none were as awesome as THIS ONE you've found!! I think that little penny jar is so sweet! My boyfriend and I have a communal change-drop-jar, but it's not as cute and pink like this one!!

Your photography is so bright and airy, I love it!

    Much Love,

  8. Hey Lizzy! The penny jar looks soooooo adorable!! I have a similar laptop platform, which I bought last year for my lappy too. It's such an ingenious idea! Kudos to Ikea for such innovation! Your bed looks soooo comfy. Remind me of a luxurious hotel bed. Don't you think so? hehe.. Lastly, your Kate Spade bag is so cute! Love the pastel colour. Perfect for spring/summer :)
